지역사회 미술 교육을 통한 미술 멘토링의 기대 가치와 경험 고찰

Analysis of Art Mentoring Expectancy Value and Experience through Community-based Art Education

본 연구는 멘토링을 통한 지역사회 미술 교육에 참여한 구성원들의 기대 가치와 경험들을 고찰하고 이를 통한 프로그램의 효과성 검증과 교육적 의미를 도출하는 것에 목적을 둔다. 멘토링에 관한 기존 연구는 양적자료 분석을 바탕으로 수치적 해석에 치중하고 있는 경향이 있다. 이러한 연구들은 연구결과와 참가자들의 경험이 일치하지않는 문제가 제기되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 연구자가 기획 및 실행한 프로그램을 바탕으로, 참여 구성원들을 심층 면담하여 미술 멘토링에 대한 기대 가치를 분석하고, 경험의 질적 연구를 통해 참여자들의 변화된 경험을 탐구하고자 한다. 마지막으로 미술 멘토링 프로그램이 미술교육에 미치는 영향과 교육적 함의에 대해 다층적으로 논의해 보고자 한다. 이 연구는 미술 분야에서 아직까지 활성화되지 않은 멘토링에 대해 질적 연구를 바탕으로 분석하여, 예비 미술교사교육과 인성교육으로서의 교육적 가치를 발굴하고, 미술교육에서의 사회적 역할과 정당성을 뒷받침하는데 그 중요성이 있다.

This study examines art mentoring through community-based art education, which is focused on drawing activated plans of art mentoring by analyzing the program participants’ expected value and verifying program effectiveness based on participants’ experiences. The existing researches on mentoring are apt to attach weight to numerical analysis for verifying the effectiveness of the mentoring project, which is based on quantitative data analysis. These existing researches have some problems which are in discord with the research results and participants’experiences, and to address these issues, this research first observed the program participants and recorded, interviewed, and analyzed their opinions and experiences. Second, this study investigates the process of participants’ experiences through qualitative research. Finally, this study proposes the importance of the social justice of art education through mentoring cases in the field of art. This study is a qualitative research on art mentoring, which has not been fully discussed in art education, and this study explores the educational value of the preservice programs of art teachers, character education, and social justice in art education
