Process of Power Transition according to GCC Initiative and Factors of Lingering Security Uncertainties

Yemen has only achieved power transition through peaceful agreement among Arab countries which had affected by 'Arab Spring'. All social and political groups in yemen joined in this process with the exclusion sectarian and factions matters. Nonetheless, the internal situation in recent days is becoming more complex, security is threatened and insecure situation has been continued. This thesis analyzed what are the structural factors which had derived from social infighting phenomenon through the implementation process of the GCC Initiative. Its implementation process has entirely exposed the structural problems inside Yemen. Consequently, it was because elite tribalism is widespread in every corner of society. Second, the international community has engaged actively in the internal affairs of Yemen and it has been caused markedly aspects of sectarian conflicts and proxy war. Third, it occurred as a result of defects of the GCC Initiative itself and unstable power transition.
