The purpose of this paper is to make a suggestion about how to integrate English education with English Literature. Skehan (1998/2011) argues that second language learners who have passed the critical period should have a primary concern with meaning and a secondary concern with language form. The meaning-form connection is important and noticing can be a catalyst for the procedure. Well-motivated students can manage such a connection through noticing but low-motivated students, who consist of the majority of students, generally cannot. They need content which is interesting and relevant to help their motivation. The movie, The chronicles of Narnia 3: The voyage of the Dawn Treader was used to provide this motivation. Four scenes were randomly chosen in order to show the integration of English education with English literature. From a humanistic perspective, teachers and students discussed content until students had a strong image of the content. From a linguistic perspective, teachers helped students notice word combinations from the script in which the content was taken. Lastly English literature can be the basis of a good language education, including poetry, novels, and plays. When English literature and English language education are brought together, successful second language learners can be produced.
