본 연구에서는 잠재의료관광객의 특성에 따라 선호하는 의료상품과 진료이전 및 이후의 부가적인 관광프로그램에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구의 대상을 한국을 방문한 일본인 관광객 중에서 의료관광에 관심을 갖는 관광객으로 선정하여, 인구통계학적 변수와 한국방문 특성에 따라 선호하는 관광프로그램과 의료상품에는 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 검증하였다. 분석결과, 선호하는 관광프로그램에 대하여 응답자의 성별에서는 여성보다는 남성이 ‘휴양관광’, ‘역사ㆍ유적지 관광’, ‘식도락 관광’과 ‘스포츠관광’ 프로그램을 더 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 결혼여부의 차이검정에서 기혼에 속하는 응답자들은 ‘역사ㆍ유적지 관광’ 프로그램을 높게 인지하는 반면, 미혼에 속하는 응답자들은 ‘건강ㆍ웰빙 관광’과 ‘맞춤형 관광’ 프로그램을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 연령계층에서는 특히 중년층이 ‘역사ㆍ유적지 관광’프로그램을 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타났으며, 20대의 젊은 계층은 ‘공연ㆍ문화관광’과 ‘건강ㆍ웰빙 관광’을 높게 지각한 반면, 30대와 40대 이상은 ‘식도락 관광’과 ‘맞춤형 관광’ 프로그램을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 교육수준에서는 ‘휴양관광’, ‘공연ㆍ문화관광’과 ‘건강ㆍ웰빙관광’ 프로그램 모두 대학교 재학 및 졸업 이상의 응답자들이 높게 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 직업군에서는 사무직보다는 전문직에 종사하는 응답자들이 도심관광 프로그램을 높게 인지하는 것으로 나타났으며, 마지막으로 소득에서는 ‘건강ㆍ웰빙관광’과 ‘맞춤형 관광’프로그램이 모두 500,001엔 이상의 고소득계층이 선호하는 것으로 나타났다.
This study was designed to explore preferred medical product and additional tourism program before- or after-medical treatment according to characteristics of potential medical tourists. This study's population was Japanese tourists who were highly interested in medical tourism bemuse the national group is the largest among national groups who want a medical treatment during their tour to Korea. Based on empirical results important outcomes and implications are as follows. First, compared to male groups, male groups showed a higher level of preference for 'relaxation tour program,' 'heritage tour program,' food tour program,' and 'sports tour program.' Regarding marriage status, married respondents showed a high level of preference for 'heritage tour program,' while unmarried groups preferred 'health or well-being tour program.' With regard to age, middle aged respondents preferred 'heritage tour program,' whereas respondents in their 20s indicated a high level of preference for 'cultural performance tour program' and 'health or well-being tour program.' More detailed information is described in this study.
