교육과정 건전성 지표를 활용한 대학 교육과정 운영 평가

Evaluation of college curriculum management by using indicator of college curriculum soundness

본 연구는 교육과정 건전성 지표를 활용하여, 국내 고등교육기관의 교육과정 운영을 직접 평가하고, 대학 교육과정 운영에 관한 발전적인 방향을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 먼저 본 연구는 기존 연구에서 제안된 교육과정 건전성 지수를 분석하여 몇몇 지수들의 실효성 문제를 지적하고, 이를 새로운 지표로 대체 하고자 노력하였다. 이 과정에서 교육과정 건전성 하위 지수를 (1) 강좌 당 학생 수, (2) 전임교원 강의담당 비율, (3) 전임교원 1인당 평균 담당 학점 수, (4) 학기 당 적 정 강좌 개설 비율로 수정하여 구성하였으며, 이를 실제 국내 대학들의 데이터를 활용하여 교육과정 건전성 지수를 산출하였다. 마지막으로 새롭게 제안된 교육과정 건전성 지수의 타당성을 확인하기 위해 분석 대상 대학의 재학생들에게 교육과정 운영 만족도 조사를 실시하였고, 그 결과와 교육과정 건전성 지수와의 상관관계를 살펴보았다. 결과적으로 본 연구에서 제안한 교육과정 건전성 지수는 기존 지수에 비해 대학 교육과정 운영을 평가하는 도구로 그 타당도와 실효성이 높음을 확인할 수 있다.

This study aims to evaluate college curriculum management by using indicator of college curriculum soundness and propose developmental direction for college curriculum management. For achieving this pur pose, we analyze the indicator of college curriculum soundness and revise it for raising the effectiveness. As a result, the indicator for measuring soundness is consisted of main factors from college curriculum management such as students numbers of each class, percentage of classes in charge of each full-time instructor, average credit in charge of each full-time instructor, and classes numbers of each semester. Furthermore we evaluate college curriculum management of 146 universities in Korea, and suggest the direction for curriculum improvement based on the results of them. Finally we evaluated the indicator’s validity and effective ness.
