생애과정관점에서 본 한 사립유치원 원장의 교직생애

The Educational career of a private kindergarten principal from the perspective of the life-course theory

이 연구는 사립유치원 원장의 교직 생애과정이 개인적 삶과 원장이 살아온 사회적, 문화적, 역사적 맥락과 어떠한 영향을 주고 받는지를 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 연구를 위하여 41년동안 사립유치원을 운영한 이덕혜 원장을 선정하였으며, 2013년 10월부터 2014년 6월까지 총 13회의 개별 심층면담이 이루어졌다. 문서자료와 사진자료를 참고자료로 하였다. 생애과정관점으로 한 사립유치원 원장의 교직생애를 분석하였다. 이덕혜 원장은 개인적, 사회적, 역사적 상황에 영향을 받아 사립유치원 원장으로서의 교직생애를 살았다. 그는 개인적으로는 아버지의 영향을 받아, 사회적으로는 여교원이 인정받는 일제강점기 조선의 사회분위기의 영향을 받아, 역사적으로는 일제의 국민학교 확충을 위해 사범학교를 추가로 설립하는 상황에 영향을 받아 교직에 입문하였다. 오랫동안 국민학교 교사와 유치원 원장으로 사회문화적 환경의 변화에 적절하게 대처하여 교직생애를 형성하였다. 결국, 이덕혜 원장의 개인적, 사회적, 직업적 생애는 모두 사립유치원 원장의 삶으로 귀결되었다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the social, cultural and historical influences between the teaching life and the personal life of a private kindergarten principal. For the study, principal Deok-hye Lee, who has been in the position of private kindergarten principal for 41 years, has been selected and the total of 13 individual interviews were collected between October, 2013 to June, 2014. Documents and photograph data were used as references. The teaching life of the private kindergarten principal was analyzed based on the life-span perspectives. The teaching life of principal Deok-hye Lee has been influenced by personal, social and historical backgrounds. She was personally influenced by her father, socially by the Japanese colonial era and historically by the background when colleges of education were additionally established due to Japanese primary schools expansion. She has spent a long time and succeeded in coping with the difficulties of changing sociocultural environment as a primary school teacher and a private kindergarten principal. To sum up, the personal, social and career life of principal Deok-hye Lee have all been concluded to her life as a private kindergarten principal.
