Literature of the people of Russia has always been of interest among readers and researchers, and work to restore one of the most ancient and distinctive cultures -peoples of North - Rytkheu (1930 - 2008) is presented in this way one of the brightest. Problems of mutual relations of different cultures and the integration of the person into someone else's culture has always been relevant in multinational Russia. "Wanderings Anna Odintsova" (2003) provided not only top creative original author, but also the product, raises the question of assimilation, displacement of national traditions, planting different crops - an extremely important and topical problems of modern society. Yuri Rytkheu in his works shows love for his native Yakut culture, home to the Chukchi people, aims to acquaint the reader with the rich life of the Far North. In his novels Rytkheu raises questions about the time that threatens to destroy national culture peoples of Russia: the destruction of established and strong deer farms, violence, repression against perceived enemies of the people and, last but not least, the destruction of centuries-old cultural traditions. In the novel, the author shows an example of a successful initiation to a foreign, unknown culture. Anna Odintsov, a man of science, accustomed to the facilities and the rational knowledge of the world, voluntarily becomes a part of the Chukchi people, roams with nomad camp, studying shamanism. She manages to fully absorb foreign culture, to become part of the ethnic group, to understand it from the inside and to become a real woman Chukchi.
