오늘날 기독교대학들은 그 본래적인 사명인 학원선교에 큰 어려움을 겪고 있다. 난관의 원인은 여러 가지가 있지만 필자는 그 중에서도 선교의 대상인 학내 대학생들에게 드러나지 않게 가장 큰 영향을 미치고 있는 것은 포스트모더니티라고 여긴다. 21세기 들어서 서구에서 시작된 포스트모더니즘은 초미세먼지와 같이 보이지 않게 신세대들의 의식과 생활양식에 서서히 큰 변화를 주고 있다. 모던세대들에게 전하던 방식으로는 복음이 전달되지 않을 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 먼저 포스트모던 흐름에 대한 고찰을 필요로한다. 그 다음으로 포스트모던 세대에 맞추어 복음을 전하여 상당한효력을 보면서 점점 확산되고 있는 이머징 교회 운동을 살펴본다. 이머징 교회 운동은 대략 세 부류로 나뉘는데, 기독교의 기존 틀을 바꾸려는 과격한 그룹은 복음 자체를 변질하거나 정통교리와 성경에 근거한 교회의 기본 틀(하드웨어)을 훼손할 수 있는 위험성을 안고 있어서 본고에서 지양한다. 다만 보수적인 신앙과 전통교회 구조는 지키면서 예배형식과 설교기법 등을 쇄신하여 포스트모던 시대에 적합하게 선교하는 그룹을 택하여 분석 비판한 후 한국교회, 특히 침체된 기독교대학 학원선교에 활용 가능한지를 검토한다. 학원선교의 영역도 여러 가지로 많다. 그러므로 그 모든 영역을 다루기에는 지면이 허락되지 않아서 채플예배 사역에 초점을 맞추어 활용방안을 모색한다. 이를 위해 본고는 포스트모던 시대에 필수적으로 요청되나 뚜렷하게 자리 잡지 못하고 있는 ‘예배-선교-문화’의 관계를 삼위일체적인 시각에서 그 관계성을 탐구하여 이머징 예배의 예배학 및 선교학적인 타당성을 문화와 관련하여 정리하였다. 끝으로 성령의 삼중적인 사역이 실행될 때에만 포스트모더니즘을 실제적으로 극복하여 채플예배가 활성화되어서 삼위일체 하나님의 기독교 문화가 꽃피우고 열매 맺을것을 기대하면서 글을 마치고자 한다.
Nowadays Christian Universities face severe difficulties in their inherent campus mission. I think it is not other than post-modernity which affects unobtrusively campus students most seriously who are the object of mission though there are many causes. Beginning with 21st century postmodernism have been influence on an emerging generation's consciousness and lifestyle without seeing like ultrafine particles. So Gospel does not accepted by them in the existing method for the modern generation. Above all this writings, therefore, are to be researched about postmodern streams. And then we need to examine emerging church movements which have come into considerately effect and spread its influence gradually in evangelizing appropriately to postmodern age. I do not want to deal in this thesis two radical emerging church groups among three ones, because they are radical tendencies seeking to change the traditional frames of Christianity fundamentally, which have probability to damage basic structures(hardware) of Gospel itself, creed and orthodox church existing on the basis of the Bible. Yet I want to research the other group which intends to keep conservative faith and the structure of traditional church, but only pursues to alterate methods of worship and preaching techniques and investigate and annalize its works which operate appropriately to postmodern age and then considerate whether it is possible to apply into campus mission of Christian universities or not. There are various realms in a campus mission. So I want to focus only to a chapel worship because of limitation of limitations of space. In order to accomplish the aim I check the liturgical validity and that of missionary work with regard to culture after exploring the mutual relationship of ‘worship-mission-culture’ in the perspective of triunity of them which does not have its own place yet in spite of its need in postmodern age. Lastly, I suggest the Holy Spirit’s threefold mission for overcoming postmodernism practically and vitalize chapel worship, for without the threefold mission we could not anticipate flowering and yielding fruit of the Triune God's Christian culture. May the Triune God let us look forward with pleasure to seeing it.
