Review of Recent Aircraft Accidents in Relation to Aircraft Insurance

The first commercial flight in history occurred in 1914 at Florida, USA. Hence, commercial aviation has reached its 100th anniversary in 2014. However, the centennial anniversary of commercial flight was marked with big catastrophes involving Malaysian and Indonesian aircrafts. This paper analyzed some recent aircraft accidents and studied insurance goods for passenger in aircraft accidents. It also analyzed some recent cases of big casualties of aircraft accidents, international convention and treaty, Korean law system for air transit, insurance types and the risks it covered, and suitable and necessary insurance goods for passenger. For this reason, this paper focused on passenger accidents only, and excluded baggage and cargo.
