The previous studies on the relationship between services trade liberalization and commodity exports for developed OECD countries found that services trade openness promotes their commodity exports. This result implies that the manufacturers that can use efficient and high-quality service as an intermediates goods from the services openness will be improved their competitiveness. To fill the vacuum of the previous studies we analyzed the effect of services trade liberalization on commodity exports for the developing CIS(Commonwealth Independent States). Similar to the case with developed countries, our results show that services trade openness of CIS have influenced positively on their commodity exports.
