여대생의 성인 애착 불안과 신체불만족 관계에서 부적응적 완벽주의, 외모가치 내면화의 매개효과 검증

The Relationship between Socially Prescribed Perfectionism and Self-handicapping Mediated by Self-Esteem and Self-Concept Clarity

이 연구는 여대생의 성인 애착 불안과 신체불만족의 관계에서 부적응적 완벽주의와 외모가치 내면화라는 개인 내적인 변인들을 함께 살펴봄으로써 취약성, 탄력성의 요인으로 작용할 수 있는지를 검증해보는 것을 목적으로 삼았다. 이를 위해서 서울 소재의 2개 대학을 선정하고, 교양 수업을 듣는 여대생 501명을 표본으로 하여 자료를 수집, 최종적으로 487명의 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 살펴보면 신체불만족을 호소하는 내담자의 경우 심리적 문제를 탐색하는 과정에 있어서 ‘부적응적 완벽주의’의 성향을 탐색해 보는 것이 도움이 될 수 있으며, 또한 현재 내담자의 애착관계는 어떠한지 즉, 의미 있는 타인과의 관계 성향 등을 살펴보고 애착의 질을 변화시킬 수 있는 요인들을 찾고 변화시킬 수 있는 방법을 함께 탐색해 보는 것이 신체불만족에서 파생된 다양한 문제를 경험하는 여성 내담자들을 도울 수 있는 방법이 될 수 있다고 하겠다.

The goal of this study was to investigate the relationship among thin-ideal internalization, BID, adult attachment anxiety, maladaptive perfectionism. Based on previous findings, this study examined dual mediation role of maladaptive perfectionism and thin-ideal internalization between BID and adult attachment anxiety. Thus, in 3 sample of 487 college women, the author tested a causal chain with 3 links and 4sets of variables. 487college women in Seoul completed a questionnaire which consisted of items from the Experience in Close Relationship(ECR), Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale(FMPS), Sociocultural Attitudes Towards Appearance Questionnaire 3-Revised(SATAQ-3R), and Multidimensional Body Self-Relations Questionnaire(MBSRQ). SPSS 17.0 program was used to examine the descriptive statistics, AMOS 7.0 program was used to conduct structural equation modeling analysis. Result suggested that adult attachment anxiety were positively associated with BID; adult attachment anxiety was positively associated with maladaptive perfectionism; and maladaptive perfectionism was positively associated with BID. Most important, the author founds that the significant positive associations between adult attachment anxiety and BID were mediated by maladaptive perfectionism. But, between BID and adult attachment anxiety were not mediated by thin-ideal internalization. This findings were limited by necessity of more examinations to the proposed relation with variables, yet ofer understand of perfectionism and information about treatment of eating disorder or body-dissatisfaction.
