한국고전문학콘텐츠의 세계화담론에 관한 메타분석

A Review of the Meta-Analysis in Globalization of Korean Classical Literature Contents

비주얼 컬쳐 시대를 맞이하면서 비록 원전(原典)에 대한 관심은 과거에 비해 줄었지만 다양한 문화콘텐츠 장르에 등장하는 인물과 스토리에 모티브를 제공하는 고전문학의 중요성은 날로 증가하고 있다. 특히 고전문학은 문화콘텐츠의 원천서사로 자주 활용되는데, 이는 멀티미디어의 콘텐츠 수요가 급증한 것에서 원인을 찾을 수 있다. 이처럼 고전문학은 콘텐츠화 과정에서 품에 새로운 생명을 부여하고 있다. 즉, 이 과정을 통해 고전문학이 지니고 있었던 지위는 계승·발전되고 응용성은 확장되고 있는 것이다. 한국고전문학의 세계화에 대한 관심이 늘고 있는것도 같은 맥락에서 이해할 수 있다. 한국고전문학은 기본적으로 외국어로의 번역과 더불어 문화콘텐츠로의 전환 과정을 거쳐야 세계인에게 널리 알려질 수 있다. 이는 한국고전문학의 외연을 넓히는데 있어 필수적인 요소이다. 이런 문제의식 하에 본 연구에서는 한국고전문학콘텐츠의 세계화담론에 관한 메타분석을 시도해보았다. 하지만 결코 희망적인 전망을 기대하기는 어렵다. 여전히 우리는 한국문학의 세계화가 가능한가라는 물음 앞에 호출되어 있기 때문이다.

At the beginning of the era of visual culture, though there is less interested in classical literature, the importance of providing motifs of characters and stories in various cultural-contents area is still recognized. Especially, the classical literature is often used for the original narration of cultural-content, its reason can be found from the sudden increase content demand from multimedia. Like this, the classical literature has been restoring its originality of literature in the process to contents. In other words, through this process the status of classical literature has been succeeded, developed and enlarged its applicability. The growing interest in globalization of Korean classic literature can be understood in the same vein. Korean classic literature should be translated with the changing process of cultural-contents so as to be known in abroad. And it is necessary conditions to expand the scope of Korean classical literature. In this regard, this study has attempted the meta-analysis about the discussion of globalization to Korean classical literature contents. However, it is pretty hard to expect any prospective view. Still we were called in front of the question whether the globalization of Korean classical literature contents is feasible.
