예비유아교사의 공감능력과 자아인식이 창의․인성에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Pre-service Early Childhood Teacher’s Empathy Ability and Self-Awareness on their Creative Personality

본 연구는 예비유아교사의 공감능력과 자아인식이 창의․인성에 미치는 영향에서 스트레스 대처방식의 매개효과를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경기도 소재지 유아교육과와 보육과에 재학 중인 예비유아교사 328명을 대상으로 공감능력, 자아인식, 창의․인성, 스트레스 대처방식의 척도를 사용하여 구조방정식 모형을 설정한 후, SPSS 18.0과 AMOS 18.0으로 변인 간의 상관관계와 영향력 및 매개효과를 살펴보았다. 측정모형과 구조모형의 적합도는 매우 높은 적합도 수준으로 나타났으며, 구조모형의 경로별 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비유아교사의 공감능력, 자아인식 및 스트레스 대처방식과 창의․인성 간의 관계를 알아본 결과, 창의․인성은 공감능력, 자아인식 및 스트레스 대처방식과 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 공감능력은 창의․인성에 영향을 미치며, 이 과정에서 스트레스 대처방식이 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 예비유아교사의 자아인식은 창의․인성에 영향을 미치지않지만, 이 과정에서 스트레스 대처방식이 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 예비유아교사의 공감능력과 스트레스 대처방식이 창의․인성에 중요한 요인으로 나타난 만큼 공감능력과 스트레스 대처방식을 함양하기 위한 프로그램 개발이 이루어져야 함을 시사하고 있는 것이다.

The purpose of this study were to investigate the mediator effect of pre-service early childhood teacher’s stress coping style that explains the relation among their empathy ability, self-awareness and creative personality. For this purpose, the data measuring empathy ability, self-awareness, creative personality and stress coping style collected from 328 pre-service early childhood teachers who are in department of early education and child care education of colleges in Gyeonggi-do was analyzed. We applied structural equation model of mediating effect using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 and examined correlations between variables and mediator effects. Measurement model and structure model had favorable goodness of fit and the results of structure models on each path were as follows. First, pre-service early childhood teacher’s creative personality had positive correlations with their empathy ability, self-awareness and stress coping style. Second, pre-service early childhood teacher’s empathy ability influenced on their creative personality with partial mediating of stress coping style. Although pre-service early childhood teacher’s self-awareness did not influence on their creative personality, full mediator effect of stress coping style was examined. These findings suggest that the program promoting pre-service early childhood teacher’s empathy ability and stress coping style should be developed.
