다차원 미술 감상 척도(Multidimensional Scale of Art Appreciation)의 개발 및 타당화

Developing Multidimensional Scale of Art Appreciation and its Validation

본 연구는 미술 작품 감상 경험을 측정할 수 있는 미술 감상 척도를 개발하고 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하기 위하여 실시되었다. 우선 감상자와의 개방형 인터뷰를 바탕으로 미술 감상에 관한 경험을 수집, 정리하여 미술 감상의 4차원인 인지, 정서, 깊이, 폭을 추출하였다. 이를 측정하는 척도로 20문항의 다차원 미술 감상척도(Multidimensional Scale of Art Appreciation: MSAA)를 제작하였으며 두 개의 독립된 표본으로 각각 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 1차와 2차 표본에서 인지, 정서, 깊이, 폭 차원의 Cronbach α값은 .747 ~ .925로 적절하였다. 마지막으로 MSAA로 측정된 미술 감상 점수는 경험에 대한 개방성, 미술 지식, 성장기 문화자본, 문화자본, 미적 가치, 미술관 관람횟수와 정적상관을 보여 MSAA가 미술 감상을 측정하는 신뢰롭고 타당한 도구임을 확인하였다.

The present study aimed to develop the art appreciation scale based on appreciators' experiences and test its reliability and validity. By analyzing interviews on art appreciation experiences, 4 dimensions of art appreciation, cognition, emotion, depth, and width were found, comprising 20-item Multidimensional Scale of Art Appreciation(MSAA). Both exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were tested with two independent samples. In the first sample, Cronbach’s αs were respectively cognition .791, emotion .747, depth .817, and width .894 and in the second sample, they were again consistently high as .810, .902, .837, .910 in order. By exhibiting positive correlations with openness to experience, art knowledge, childhood cultural capital, current cultural capital, aesthetic value, and number of art museum visits, MSAA can be confirmed as a reliable and valid scale measuring art appreciation.
