해외 물류 관련 학술지의 중요도 및 순위 평가에 관한 연구

A Study on Assessing Logistics and SCM Journals

물류와 SCM 분야의 연구자들이 논문을 투고할 대상 저널을 선택하는데 도움을 주고자 SCML(Supply Chain Management and Logistics) 관련 저널의 우수성을 평가하고 순위를 제시하였다. 저널을 평가하기 위해 객관적인 정량적 지표를 사용한 연구결과도 있지만, 본 연구는 연구자의 주관과 저널에 대한 인식을 바탕으로 저널의 유명도와 중요도를 조사하여 연구를 진행하였다. 또한 저널에 대한 연구자들의 인식 평가는 국가별로 상이하게 나타날 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내의 평가결과와 해외 연구자들의 평가 결과를 비교하여 제시하였다. 분석 결과, Journal of Business Logistics가 유명도와 중요도 면에서 모두 가장 높은 평가를 받아 1위를 차지하였는데, 전체적인 평가 결과는 기존에 영국과 미국에서 진행된 연구결과들과 큰 틀에서는 비슷한 것으로 나타났다. 더불어 SCML 저널별 국내연구자들의 논문게재 현황과 저널 검색경로에 관한 연구결과도 제시하였다.

In this article, we reported the result from a new survey of logistics or SCM academics regarding their evaluations of scholarly journals in SCML in order to help them deciding where to publish their papers. While most prior studies that compared journals have relied on quantitative measures, this study surveyed researchers in SCML and presented data on journal familiarity and journal importance. We also found important similarities and differences in how researchers from other countries evaluated the journals in the discipline. Our results suggested that there was not a strong basis for cross-national differences in scholarly journal evaluation, and Journal of Business Logistics was regarded as the most important and prestigious journal. We also presented the number of papers published in SCML journals that were researched by Korean authors. The use of multiple databases to search for SCML papers was also discussed.
