The Support Policy Designed to Improve the Quality of Living for Multicultural Families

This paper is a research on the support policy designed to improve the quality of living for muliticultural families, which has lately been an issue in Korea. Despite the rapid emergence of multicultural issues in the Korean society, we haven't properly gone through the close examination of search and preparation as for how the society will change and what we should prepare. Accordingly, it is very important that we come up with systematic policies for multicultural issues that are proceeding even more rapidly than the change in policies. On the national level, the government should help the immigrants on marriage settle down in Korea more easily and take speedy measures as to various problems that may arise in future so as to reduce the social costs as well as costs stemming from the trial and errors. In this study, we will propose useful policies through substantive analysis designed to improve the quality of life for immigrant women on marriage through systematic investigation and analysis of their nationalities and economic activities as well as how they are adapting to new life in Korea and settling down.
