The contents and methods of the civil law education in korean law school

Korea adapted the law school education system on March, 2009. Since it has started, this is the right time to check the Korean legal education system, which based on korean law school system. When people try to check the law school system in korea, people have to look upon the motivation of the law school. (The motive of law school was ) It is also important to check the significance of civil law education in law school. The civil law is not only three main law courses in the bachelor of law (LL.B.) subjects but also the most practical courses in law school courses, even though the concept of legal education might be different from LL.B and focuses more on general cases. In korean law school system's case, students who acquired the LL.B degree and students who doesn't have the LL.B degree get into the law school at the same time with same conditions. Which is so much different from American law school case and Japanese law school case. In American law school's case, since they don't have the faculty of law in the undergraduate school, all students who can not be law graduate are bred to same legal education conditions. In Japanese law school case, they do make a few difference between students who got the LL.B degree and students who has a different degree. Students, who has the LL.B degree, get only 2 years of law school education, and students, who don't have the LL.B degree, have to have 3 years law school education, in order to be a lawyer; however, since Korea has different law school education system, we do have to consider more on the curriculums, contents and methods of legal education. This paper depicts about several contents and methods of korean law school system based upon civil law education, and tries to concretize them.
