This paper critically examines the achievements KICAC has made since its establishment in 2002 and puts forward its future management directions enabling the Commission to play a major role in safeguarding the transparent and corruption-free public organisations in Korea. Based on the assumption that corruption undermines national competitiveness and impedes the effective operation of the national government as well, it attempts to analyze the current governance system relating to preventing corruption-related things taking place in public sector organisations in Korea, identifies the main problems connected to anti-corruption measures in operation and suggests some ideas to be able to strengthen the capacity and capability of the Commission, especially in terms of enhancing the governability of the Commission. The paper concludes that the Commission should introduce the personnel recruit system by which professionals can be more easily employed in the Commission and be more open to the public
