Attitude to the Corruption Perception for the Improvement of National Competitiveness

Securing the administrative transparency and trust in the government are of core importance in the recent administrative reform activities. This tendency is also related to issues of New Governance, and the Non-governmental Organizations are growing more powerful and their roles are further highlighted. Therefore, efforts to secure national competitiveness, reinforce the administrative transparency, and the obtain people's trust in the government are of greatest importance; naturally, the roles of the civil society that enable the above tasks are in need of further growth. In this study, I observed Japan's Information Disclosure Level Evaluation case and our nation's government evaluation result to find appropriate measures to secure administrative transparency. The study result revealed that in order to secure administrative transparency, there is a need to secure the participation of the citizens regarding administrative work, the joint participation of the public and private sector regarding administrative evaluation, and the unification and relation of the evaluation method to further the administrative transparency.
