Corruption is a problem worldwide. It is now widely agreed that corruption, wherever in the world, It is occurring, is one of the greatest challenges societies face as we entered this century. However, the factors that cause corruption are country specific. Is it a bribe or not depend upon your country, culture context and historic period. The disfunctionality of publicsector governance is considered to be the root cause of corruption. corruption is one outcome of poor governance, Involving the abuse of public office for private gain. Public sector corruption as symptom of failed governance is attributed to a multitudes of factors such as quality of public sector management, the nature of accountability relation between the government and citizens, and the degree to which public sector process are accompanied by transparency and disseminations of informations. In dealing with these concerns , this study presents that tackling corruption requires an indirect approach that addresses the root causes of corruption. Finally it is suggested that the higher the incident of corruption, the less an anticorruption strategy should include tactics that are narrowly targeted to corrupt individual behaviors and the more it should focus on the broad basic features of the governance environment. Thus, coupled with cultural approach, improving, strengthen governance, and reducing corruption are crucial to anticorruption.
