Analysis of Gifted Teachers' Need for Elementary Gifted Class Consultation

본 연구는 실제 초등영재학급 컨설팅 사례를 대상으로 영재교사들이 영재학급을 운영하는데 있어 고민하고 있는 분야가 무엇이며 이를 해소할 수 있는 방안은 무엇인지 양적 분석을 하였다. 이 과정을 통해 영재교사들의 실질적인 요구 사항을 파악해보고, 향후 바람직한 영재학급의 운영에 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 연구 결과 영재교사는 주로 영재교육 운영방법 개선 및 학부모 학생 상담 및 연수, 영재교육 교수 학습방법 및 영재교육 프로그램 개선 분야에 대한 순으로 고민이 컸으며, 특히 교육과정의 구 성, 프로그램의 공유 및 재구성, 교수 학습방법, 강사운영, 영재학급의 운영전반, 예산 측면에 대한 어려움이 많았다. 본 연구를 통해 영재교사에게 필요한 요소들에 대한 지원을 마련할 수 있는 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다.

This study analyzed what are the troubled fields in a gifted class and what kind of support is needed for elementary gifted class consultation. We tried to identify the requirements gifted teachers need and to get suggestions on the gifted education operation methods for the future. The results show that the major field needing consultation for a gifted class is gifted education methods of operation improvement, counseling and training for parents and gifted students, teaching the gifted and learning methods, and gifted education program improvement. Typically, it accounted for a large percentage of sub-elements by area like organization of curriculum, sharing and reorganization of program, teaching-learning methods, instructor operations, general management of the gifted class, and budget. Thus, this enables us to be a able to offer suggestions that can provide support for elements necessary for gifted classroom teachers.
