The Society and Culture of Anti-Corruption in the United Kingdom

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the society of anti-corruption in the United Kingdom by illuminating the relationships between economy, religion, politics, administration and corruption. The policy of anti-corruption is regarded as the two aspects of institution and culture. The institutional aspect is the reform of administrative system, while the cultural aspect is one of social value and value system. As corruption is derived from institutional failure and individual corruption, the essence of anti-corruption's policy is to attain cultural development with institutional reform in the United Kingdom. In the study of corruption through the relation between economy, religious, politics, administration and corruption in the United Kingdom, though corruption is reduced by the function of intentional human behaviour through the institutional reform, it will be necessary to analyze that corruption is originated from economic, religious, and cultural aspect. The crisis of national trust is derived from corruption. Accordingly, a high trust society as a formation of cultural development, which has been attained by social cooperation, has contributed to induce the phenomenon of anti-corruption. Anti-corruption society through the institutional reform and cultural development in the United Kingdom will be analyzed.
