가족서사 문학에 나타난 가족갈등 - 부부갈등의 관점에서 -

Family Troubles Shown at Family Narratives Literature

가족의 역사, 갈등과 화합, 비극 등을 다룬 작품들은 문학이 구전되던 시대부터 오늘날까지 다양한 장르로 변이를 거듭하며 창작되고 있다. 또 가족서사 문학 연구도 여러 연구자들에 의해 많은 관심을 받아왔다. 그러나 그간 연구의 경향이 계모갈등과 처첩갈등에 치우친 결과 가족갈등의 복합적인 논의는 미비한 경향을 보인다. 이에 본고에서는 가족서사 문학에 해당하는 25편의 고소설을 대상으로 부부갈등, 부모자녀갈등, 형제자매갈등, 처첩갈등의 양상을 고찰하고, 이 중 부부갈등의 측면에서 가족 갈등을 살펴보았다. 가족서사 문학에 나타난 가족갈등의 양상은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가족갈등의 빈도는 부모자녀갈등, 부부갈등, 처첩갈등, 형제자매갈등 순으로 나타난다. 둘째, 가족갈등은 하나의 갈등이 다른 갈등의 원인이 되거나 영향을 미쳐 여러 갈등이 복합적으로 작용한다. 셋째, 가족갈등으로 인해 가족 간의 사이가 멀어지거나 가족이 해체되는 결과를 초래할 수 있다. 그러나 갈등을 원만하게 해결하는 경우 가족 구성원 간에 이해의 폭이 넓어지고 애정과 결속력이 더욱 강해질 수 있다.

Work that dealt with family history, conflict and harmony, tragedies etc has been created while repeating transition to various genres till now from the times when literature was orally transmitted. Also, researches on family narratives literature have gotten a lot of interests from many researchers. However, complicated discussions on family troubles show insufficient trends as a result of having been leaned to stepmother trouble and discord between wife and concubine for the time being in previous researches. Therefore, this study inquired into entire aspects of troubles between couples, parents and children, brothers and sisters, and wife and concubine. Aspects of family troubles having been shown in family narratives literature are same as follows. First, in frequency of family troubles, it is displayed like troubles between parents and children, couples, wife and concubine, brothers in order. Second, several troubles are operated complicatedly because family troubles become causes of other troubles or affect influences. Third, relationships between family members are estranged owing to family troubles, or family dissolution would be brought about. Nonetheless, understanding width could be widen between family members, and affection and solidarity could be stronger in case that troubles are solved smoothly.
