A Study on the Terrorism and Dispute of Africa

최근 사하라 남쪽 지역 아프리카에서는 말리의 안사르 딘(Ansar Dine), 소말리아의 알 샤밥(Al-Shabaab), 나이지리아의 보코 하람(Boko Haram), 서아프리카 지하드 통일운동(MUJAO) 등의 이슬람 극단주의 무장단체들이 정부기관이나 군인 또는 민간인들을 대상으로 무차별적인 테러공격을 자행하고 있다. 현재 아프리카 지역의 수많은 국가들은 2차 세계대전과 냉전이 종식된 후 정치경제적 불안과 각종 사회문제가 결합하여 병존하는 상태이다. 이에 빈곤과 기아, AIDS를 포함한 전염병 그리고 마약밀매와 불법무기거래, 아동의 강제노동, 매춘, 소년병 차출, 난민 문제 등이 심각한 문제가 되고 있으며, 종교와 문명의 충돌 그리고 국제테러조직과 연계되어 더욱더 심각한 문제와 분쟁이 끊임없이 발생하고 있다. 특히, 아프리카 지역의 분쟁은 정권쟁탈, 민족주의, 민주화, 종교, 자원 등이 주요 원인으로 작용하고 있다. 표면적으로 보면, 정권쟁탈이 중요한 원인으로 분류되지만, 실질적인 이유는 자원을 둘러싼 종족, 지역, 종교의 갈등과 역사적인 문제로 분석된다. 최근에는 반정부운동이 알카에다 무장세력과 결합하여 분쟁이 심화되었다. 또한 극단적 이슬람 무장투쟁인 살라피 지하드(Salafi Jihad) 운동이 확대되면서 수많은 지역에서 분쟁의 장기화가 우려되고 있다.

Recently, Mali’s Ansar Din, Somalia’s Al-Shabab, Nigeria’s Boko Haram, Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa(MUJAO) armed Islamist has committed an indiscriminate terrorist attack targeting including their government agency or military or civilian in the southern regions of Africa. The West African state of coexistence is to combine a variety of political and economic instability and social problems after the Second World War and the Cold War. This area is poverty, hunger, infectious diseases and drug trafficking and the illegal arms trade, AIDS, forced labor of children, prostitution, child soldiers drafted, including refugee problem is a serious problem. Also, the clash of religions and civilizations, and in conjunction with international terrorist organizations and causes more serious problems and disputes. In particular, conflict in Africa is the regime contend, nationalism, democracy, religion, resources, and act as the main cause. Superficially, the administration contends is classified as a major cause, but the real reason is that surrounding the resource region, and analyzed by conflict and historical problems of religion. Recently, anti-government movement was intensifying the conflict in combination with al Qaeda militants. Also, Extremist movement as Islamic Jihad(Salafi Jihad) is expanding the prolonged conflict in many regions.
