외국인을 대상으로 하는 소설 교육의 일 고찰 -채만식과 조세희의 작품세계를 중심으로-

[레디메이드 인생]은 일제하 30년대의 어두운 현실을 배경으로 무직 인텔리의 한 전형을 설정하여 이 주인공이 겪는 갈등과 반응을 풍자적으로 서술함으로써 당대 현실의 모순들을 효과적으로 드러낸 역작임을 살필 수 있었다. 그러나 주인공의 이 결말부분의 행위가 식민지 교육에 대한 의도적인 비판에서 온 것이든 단순한 앙탈이거나 극단의 자기풍자에 지나지 않는 것이든 간에 이주형의 지적대로 작가가 주인공을 통해서 ‘일제 당국의 구호, 교육의 의의, 그리고 인텔리 자신’까지도 비관하고 부정함으로써 당대의 식민지사회가 정상적인 사회가 아님을 천명한 것이 분명함을 살필 수 있었다. 또한 [난장이가 쏘아올린 작은 공]은 이항대립 사회의 병폐를 넘어서기 위한 지향점으로 뫼비우스 띠의 사회를 올바르게 설정해 놓고도 이항 대립을 구성하는 요체인 이성 중심주의를 공격하지 못한 점, 그로 인하여 뫼비우스 띠를 달나라로 대체한 점, 그리고 그러한 영향권 내에 노동운동이 자리 잡고 있다는 점에서 뫼비우스 띠는 이항 대립의 진정한 극복에 실패하고 있음을 살필 수 있었다. 그리고 이 소설은 삶의 터전마저 뿌리 뽑히는 소외 계층의 절박한 현실을 보여주어 우리 자신의 타락을 깨우쳐 주고 고통을 느끼게끔 만든다. 세계와 주인공, 그리고 우리자신의 타락을 환기시킴으로써 우리에게 ‘진정한 가치’란 무엇인가를 생각하게 한다.

The ‘Ready-made Life’ is a work of a real dark background under the Japanese colonial of the 30’s. This work has been described as a satirical hero is experiencing conflicts and react by setting the epitome of intelligence unemployed as a hero. Through this work it can be found masterpiece that effectively exposed the contradictions of contemporary reality. However the behavior of the ending part of the hero can be just a mere self-satire whether it come from intentional criticism of the colonial education or simple orientals. But as pointed out by the writer Lee Joohyeong, it seems clear the author told that the contemporary colonial society is not a normal society seems obvious through the main character, even pessimistic ‘relief of the Japanese authorities, the significance of education, and his intelligence’. Also, you can find that ‘dwarf raised a small ball shooting’ is set correctly for the social orientation of the Mobius strip to go beyond the binary opposition ills of society truly failed to overcome the binary opposition. Gritty presenting the reasons of three problems follows. First, that the reason for not attacking the essence of rational-centrism that make up the binary opposition. Second, thereby replacing the Mobius strip is that one to the moon. Third, the lavor movement is that holding such a position within the sphere of influence. And this novel is to feel the pain giving by showing the desperate reality of underprivileged roots even elected book of life, reminding ourselves of corruption. By the world and the hero, and we vent our corruption makes us thing about what is the ‘true value’ is.
