그림동화 독서지도를 활용한 다문화가정 아동의 한국어 교육 지도 방법 -앤서니 브라운의『터널』을 중심으로-

A teaching Method of Korean vocabulary to multicultural children through a reading guide to picture books: focusing on『The tunnel』by Anthony Browne

본고에서는 다문화 가정 아동들의 한국어 교육을 지도 할 교사들에게 문학텍스트 활용의 한 방안으로 그림동화 독서지도방법을 제시하였다. 그래서 아동문학의 주가지인 동화, 그 중에서도 그림과 이야기가 결합된 그림동화를 활용하여 다문화가정 아동들을 지도하는 것의 효율성을 살펴보았다. 특히 본 연구의 대상은 취학해서 한국문화에 적응하기 힘들어하는 초등학교 1, 2학년 다문화가정 아동들이다. 그림동화는 한국 문화에 적응하기 쉽지 않은 다문화 가정 아동들을 위한 최고의 텍스트이다. 본고에서는 먼저, 다문화가정 아동들을 위한 그림동화의 장점을 말하였고, 이것이 한국어를 지도하는데 있어서 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기 등의 통합적인 교육에 보다 유동적인 접근이 될 수 있음을 다루었다. 그리고 그림동화 앤서니 브라운의『터널』을 통해 문자의 두려움을 줄이고, 짧은 글과 그림이 있는 텍스트를 활용해서 읽기 전, 읽기 중, 읽기 후 활동 등으로 나누어 한국어를 지도하는 교육 방법을 제시하였다. 특히 더 나아가 다문화가정 아동들이 그림동화를 통해 즐겁게 한국어를 배울 수 있도록 하는 것에 목적이 있다.

This study attempts to present one of the methods of reading guide using picture books as a way to apply a literary text to teachers who teach Korean language to multicultural children in Korea. So this study examines the efficiency of educating multicultural children using story books which is major genre of children's literature, especially story books with pictures and stories together. particularly, the subject of this study are children in the first and second grade of elementary school from multicultural families who are having a hard time adjusting to Korean culture. This study first presents advantages of picture books for the multicultural children and deals with a flexible approach to an integrated education of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. And this study tries to present a teaching method of Korean language through Anthony Brown's 『 The tunnel 』 to reduce the fear of Korean letters as well as through a text with short story and picture including activities such as before, during and after reading activities. Furthermore, this study aims at the thing that multicultural children can enjoy learning Korean language through picture books.
