칼 라너의 그리스도론에서 나타나는 인간학의 수용 과정 및 그 체계적 이해

The Acceptance Procedure of Anthropology in Karl Rahner’s Christology and Its Systematic Understanding

20세기 최고의 신학자 중의 하나인 칼 라너(1904~1984)의 그리스도론은 에블린 모리스에 의하면 세 가지 발전 단계를 갖는다. 본 논문은 모리스가 구분한 그리스도론의 세 발전 단계에서 인간학이 어떻게 수용되고 있는가를 밝히고, 결론에서 종합적으로 이해하고자 한다. 인간학 수용은 라너의 초기 그리스도론에서 이미 뚜렷이 나타나고 있다. 그것은 초기 저작들인 『세계 내 정신』과 『말씀의 청자』의 영향으로 보인다. 비록 초기에 라너는 자신의 체계적인 그리스도론을 선보이지는 않지만 그럼에도 불구하고 인간학적인 강조는 명백히 드러난다. 라너의 중기 그리스도론에서도 이러한 인간학적 강조는 지속되는 것으로 드러난다. 그는 특히 칼케돈의 교의 결정을 인간학적인 관점에서 설명하려고 시도함으로써 그리스도론이 더 이상 단성론의 관점으로 또는 신화적으로 오해받는 것을 막으려고 시도한다. 그는 인간의 실존을 강조함으로써 구원이 인간의 역사에서 시작됨을 강조한다. 나아가서 라너의 그리스도론에 있어서의 인간학적ㆍ초월론적 방법론은 타 학문에게도 개방적인 자세로 드러난다. 마지막으로 종합의 단계에서 라너는 자신의 그리스도론을 더욱 체계적이고 종합적인 인간학을 통하여 조망하는 것으로 드러난다. 그는 인간학의 강조와 함께 ‘아래로부터의 그리스도론’을 말하지만 그와 동시에 그것이 가능하기 위한 초월론적 조건으로 ‘위로부터의 그리스도론’을 수용한다.

The Christology of Karl Rahner(1904~1984), one of the most important theologians in the 20th century, has defined three stages of development as according to Evelyne Maurice. This treatise will ultimately reveal, how anthropology was accepted in each development stage of Karl Rahner’s Christology and will show the systematic understanding on them in conclusion. The acceptance of the anthropology in the first stage of his Christology appears clearly evident. It seems to be influenced by the early writings of Rahner Spirit in world and Hearer of word. Although there was no systematic Christology in the early writings of Karl Rahner, the emphasis of Anthropology seemed evident. In the Rahner’s Christology of the second stage, the anthropological emphasis can still be seen. He tries to explain the decision of the Council of Chalcedon through the anthropological perspective in order to prevent the monophysite and mythological misconception. Through emphasizing the human existence, he tries to say that the salvation begins in the human history. Furthermore, the anthropological and transcendental method in Rahner’s Christology shows a open stance to other sciences. Finally, in the third stage of Rahner’s Christology, he shows an extensive view of An thropology. With anthropological emphasis, he insists ‘Christology from below’, and at the same time he regards ‘Christology from above’ as transcendental condition for ‘Christology from below’.
