This study aimed to provide basic data to guide volunteer work and career paths for students by understanding the degree and correlations of volunteer work, self-esteem and job-esteem, targeting 359 undergraduates majoring in beauty in Busan and the Gyeongnam region. The results of the study showed that, first, beauty major undergraduates mostly had experience in volunteering, and a lot of these opportunities were related to their major. The participants’ self-esteem showed an average of 3.55 points, which was the medium level, and their job-esteem was 3.12 points. Second, in the results of understanding the differences of self- esteem and job-esteem among this population in accordance with their general characteristics and volunteer work, in the case of a 2-year course, students with a high level of economy and school records, and the experience of volunteer work including beauty services showed a high self-esteem. In the case of the 2-year course, students with a medium level of economy and high level of school records showed high job-esteem. Third, beauty major undergraduate beauty volunteerism had a positive correlation with self-esteem while self-esteem had a positive correlation with job-esteem. Thus, it is necessary to raise the value of their self-worth and pride their jobs through student volunteer work related to their major.
