유비쿼터스 환경에서 문화재정보의 효율적인 서비스를 위한 모바일 기반 RFID 시스템

A Mobile Based RFID System for Efficient Service of Cultural Assets Information in Ubiquitous Environment

최근 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅이 발전하면서 박물관들이나 전시관들이 관람자들에게 다양한 멀티미디어 안내 서비스를 제공할 필요성이 증가하고 있지만, 안내인이나 안내판, 키오스크 시스템과 같은 단방향 서비스를 제공하는데 그치고 있다. 한편 모바일 장비를 이용한 안내시스템은 적외선 통신이나 블루투스 통신 등 무선 네트워크를 이용한 위치 인식 안내 시스템을 중심으로 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 시스템의 경우, 박물관 내의 관람자 위치 인식을 위한 부가적인 무선 네트워크 설치가 필요하며, 또한 모바일 장비의 제한된 저장 및 처리능력 때문에 많은 정보를 저장하여 처리할 수가 없다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 모바일 장비인 PDA와 RFID 기술을 사용하여, 관람자의 위치 인식을 위한 부가적인 장비를 설치할 필요 없이 문화재정보를 실시간으로 서비스 받을 수 있는 모바일 기반 RFID 시스템을 제안한다.

Museums and pavilions intend to provide spectators with various multimedia guide service systems in ubiquitous environment recently. However, the spectators can still utilize only single direction service which is guiders, guide boards or kiosk systems. Guide systems by mobile devices have been studied with priority given to location recognition systems using IrDA(Infrared Data Association) and Bluetooth. But these systems require additional mobile networks to recognize spectators' location. And mobile devices also can't store and process many information because of memory capacity and processing ability. To solve such problems, we propose a mobile based RFID system using PDA and RFID technology, which can service real-time cultural assets information for spectators. Especially the system doesn't need additional equipment to recognize spectators' location.
