Strategic Planning of Sports Tourism Development

Nowadays, tourism industry is acknowledged as one of the most prosperous industries inspiring the industry. This branch of tourism has progressed significantly in recent decades and many countries have taken numerous actions in fields of its research, planning, investment and marketing. The purp global economic expansion. Likewise, exercise is known as a key industry in the modern world, and the result of blending these two has created one of the most important modern service industries called sports tourism ose of this study was strategic planning for development of sports tourism in Sarein city. In this regard, SWOT and AHP models were used for this applied - strategic research which was conducted using a descriptive- analytic method. Moreover, library studies and survey have been used. 20 experts and officials were interviewed, and Delphi method was also used to gather and assess the survey data. The results showed that the strategy of defensive strategy had higher priority than other strategies. Hence, the sports tourism officers and directors are recommended to reduce the industry's weaknesses and threats and to use the available strengths and opportunities of the sports tourism in this city provide facilities for its growth and development. Some defensive strategies include creation of an integrated management of sports tourism, construction and establishment of sports tourism facilities according to the international standards and research on the ways to make a relationship between sport and tourism.
