유아의 놀이성과 정서지능의 관계에서 유아 성격의 매개효과

The mediating effect of personality on the relationship between playfulness and emotional intelligence in young children

본 연구는 유아의 놀이성과 성격 및 정서지능의 상관관계를 분석하고 놀이성이 정서지능에 미치는 영 향에 있어 유아 성격의 매개효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 G지역의 사립 유치원에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 143명(남 74명, 여 69명)을 선정하였고, 유아의 놀이성, 성격과 정서지능에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램으로 Pearson의 상관관계분석, 회귀분석, Sobel test로 검증하였다. 자료 분석 결과 첫째, 유아의 놀이성과 정서지능, 성격과 놀이성, 성격과 놀이성은 전체적으로 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 성격은 정서지능을 의미 있게 예측하였으며, 성격이 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

This study explored of playfulness on emotional intelligence and mediating effects of personality on the relationship between playfulness and emotional intelligence. The Children’s Playfulness Scale(Kim, 1995), The Personality Inventory for Young Children(Choi & Park, 2013) and The Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire(Lee, 1997) were administered to 143 young children(74 boys, 69 girls, 5 year of age). Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and sobel test using the computer program, SPSS/PC 21.0. The results of this study were as follows. First, there were significant positive relationships among playfulness, personality and emotional intelligence. Second, playfulness was an important factor to predict emotional intelligence of young children, and personality had mediating effects on the relationship between playfulness and emotional intelligence.
