본 연구의 목적은 현재 전 세계적으로 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 TTCT 창의성 검사의 도형A의 독창성 영역에 대하여 미국에서 만들어진 검사기준을 국내 표준화 작업 없이 우리나라 초등학생에게 사용하는 것이 과연 타당한지를 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 인천시내의 4개의 공립초등학교 1~6학년 까지 총 1,042명의 학생을 대상으로 TTCT 도형 A검사 Section2를 실시하여 TTCT 독창성 채점목록 제작방법과 동일한 방법으로 우리나라 채점목록을 작성하였으며 두 채점목록의 채점 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 연구문제에 따라 두 채점방식에 따른 채점결과를 비교한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, TTCT 정규형 버전의 채점 기준에 의한 독창성 점수와 우리나라 초등학생 1,042명의 반응빈도를 준거로 한 독창성 점수에서 유의미한차이가 발생하였다. 둘째, TTCT 정규형 버전의 독창성 채점목록과 우리나라 초등학생의 반응빈도를 바탕으로 한 독창성 채점목록의 일치도는 총 113개의 항목 중 약 37개에 불과하였다. 이는 정규형 채점기준이 만들어질 당시 미국의 문화적, 시대적 상황과 현재 우리나라의 문화적, 시대적 상황이 서로 다름을 나타나며 이를 고려하지 않은 상황에서 미국판 채점기준을 그대로 사용한다면 연구결과의 왜곡을 초래할 가능성도 있음을 보여준다. 본 연구결과는 시대적 차이와 문화적 차이로 인해 TTCT 창의성 검사의 독창성 규준을 현재의 우리나라 상황에 맞 게 재표준화해야 할 필요성을 시사하고 있다.
This research aims to examine the validity of originality scoring guide of TTCT figure A, the most widely used creativity test in the world, in order to evaluate the credibility of its usage to Korean elementary schoolers without a standardization process. With the subjects of 1,042 1st to 6th graders from 4 elementary schools around the capital area, TTCT figure A test section 2 was tested, and using the same method used to make the original TTCT grading manual, a korean-version originality grading manual was made. Results of two manuals were compared and analyzed. The summary of the research result is as follows. First, statistically significant differences were reported between the originality test scores of the two test manuals, the original one and the Korean version. American grading manual produced higher score but lower standard deviation, suggesting the original manual relatively lacks distinction ability. Second, conformity score of the original version, based on the Korean students' response rate, was only 37 out of 113. The result shows what happens when a guideline created in a different era and a place is adopted to another era and a place without consideration of cultural differences. It can lead to compromization, even distortion of the data. The test result advocates the need to re-standardize the orginality scoring guide of TTCT up-to-date so it properly reflects the present Korean society.
