연안이씨의 삶과 <쌍벽가>

Study on Missus Yeonan Lee’s Life and <Ssang-byok ga>

본 연구는 연안이씨(延安李氏, 1737∼1815)와 그의 가사 작품인 <쌍벽가>에 대한 연구이다. 연안이씨는 영조의 신임으로 환로에 진출한 지 10여년 만에 정경(正卿)의 반열에 오른 이지억(李之億, 1699∼1794)의 딸로 한양에서 태어났다. 연안이씨는 &#61440;주역&#8228;논어등을 비롯한 경서와 사기 등의 역사서를 통해 학문을 익히며 자랐다. 그 후 안동 하회마을의 풍산류씨 류사춘(柳師春, 1741∼1814)에게 시집을 가면서 평탄하지 않은 삶이 시작되었다. 친정인 한양과는 다른 풍속을 지니고 있는 하회에서의 생활은 몹시 고단하였으나 그녀는 분가하여 집안을 일구고 자제들을 과거에 급제시켰다. 특히 학서(鶴棲) 류이좌(柳台佐, 1763∼1837)는 그의 장남으로 정조의 총애를 입어 초계문신에 발탁되었으며 여러 관직을 두루 거치고 예조참판에까지 오르게 된다. <쌍벽가>에는 결혼 후 연안이씨가 겪었던 고달픔과 기쁨은 물론 미래에 대한 전망까지 진솔하게 담겨있다. 이 작품은 대개 아홉 단계로 구분할 수 있다. 임금으로부터 제문과 물품을 받는 내용으로 시작하여 시집와서 겪은 갖은 고생담, 풍산류씨 가문의 내력과 하회 마을의 풍광, 자녀가 급제한 사실, 가문의 번영을 기원하는 내용을 담고 있다. 이 작품은 특히 고난을 겪은 후 이것을 이겨내고 기쁨을 맞이하는 내용이 중심을 이루고 있다. 본 연구는 연안이씨가 어려움을 이겨낼 수 있었던 원동력 을 가문에 대한 확고한 자부심에서 찾았는데, 친정 가문의 뛰어남과 풍산류씨 가문의 업적을 상세히 묘사한 것에서 확인할 수 있었다. <쌍벽가>는 고난을 겪고 난 후 지난날을 조망하면서 창작한 작품으로화자가 강인하고 주체적인 면모로 드러나 있으며, 이것이 가문의식과 어우러져 강한 자부심으로 형상화되어 있다. 또한 집성촌인 하회 마을의 풍광과 집안의 내력을 상세히 서술한 것에 힘입어 영남지역에서 널리 애송될 수 있었다.

This thesis is study of missus Yeonan Lee(1737∼1815) and her Gyubanggasa work <Ssang-byok ga>. She born in Hanyang as Lee gi-aek’(1699∼1794)s’ daughter and study the Confucian classics like &#61440;Juyok&#61440; and &#61440;Sagi&#61440;. But getting married with Ryu sa-chun(1741∼1814) in Andong Hahoe village, she lived difficult life. Life in Haheoe was very different with Hanyang’s and worn out but she firm family and make son pass State examination. Ryu I-jwa who is her son was a favorite with King Jeongjo. In <Ssang-byok ga>, there were the joys and sorrows of life which she experienced. This work is divided of nine part generally such as , receiving a funeral oration and a funeral oration from King Jeongjo, hardship story of her husband's home, Pungsan Ryu family’s story which run to now and Haheoe’s landscape, passing State examination of sons, praying for prosperity of family. This work break away general Gyubanggasa’s staly, overcomehing hold center more than suffering itself. This thesis search for the driving force from solid pride about her family. It is confirmed on detailed description about family’s achievement. <Ssang-byok ga> have distinctive characteristic in fact of not for complaining pains and resolving bitterness but for thinking back days gone by. Most of all, persona have strong and independent aspect. In addition, that is mixed with consciousness of the family to embody strong self-esteem. Furthermore, This work was song in Yeongnam area wide because of minute description about Haheoe’s landscape and story of family. So in terms of conveyance of consciousness of the family, this work significant charge role.
