본 연구는 중학교 1, 2, 3학년 영재학생 360명과 일반학생 239명을 대상으로 진로정체감, 진로준비행동, 진로결정 자기효능감의 차이를 알아보고, 진로정체감과 진로준비행동간의 관계에서 진로결정 자기효능감의 매개 가능성을 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구결과 영재학생은 일반학생보다 진로정체감, 진로준비행동, 진로결정 자기효능감 수준이 유의미하게 높았다. 영재학생은 진로정체감과 진로준비행동 간의 관계에 진로결정 자기효능감이 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났으며, 일반학생은 진로정체감과 진로준비행동 간의 관계에 진로결정 자기효능감이 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과가 영재학생과 일반학생의 진로의식과 진로탐색과 관련하여 어떠한 시사점이 있는가가 논의되었다.
The purpose of the present study was to find out the differences in career identity, career preparation behavior, and career decision self-efficacy of gifted and general students, and to investigate the relationship between career identity and career preparation behavior with the mediating effect of career decision self-efficacy. For the study, 360 gifted students and 239 general students participated. The results indicate that there were significant differences between gifted and general students in all three variables investigated. For the gifted group, career decision self-efficacy was identified to act as a partial mediator in the relation between career identity and career preparation behavior. With regard to the mediation effects for general students, career decision self-efficacy was shown to act as a complete mediator in the relation between career identity and career preparation behavior. Implication of the study related to gifted education was discussed.
