베이비부머들의 생활만족도 영향요인분석

Determinants of Babyboomers’ Life Satisfaction : Focused on Babyboomers in Seoul

본 연구는 퇴직한 베이비부머들이 지속적인 생산활동을 통해 생활만족도를 향상할 수 있는 정책 방향과 대안을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울특별시에 거주하고, 현직에 종사하는 1955-1963년 사 이에 태어난 베이비부머 세대를 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 베이비부머들의 생활만족도를 지속적으로 높여주기 위해서는 베이비부머들의 지원재단 설립, 사회공헌형 일자리 공모사업 추진, 베이비붐 세대의 일자리 지원 서비스망 구축, 직원능력개발 계좌제를 활용한 베이비붐 세대의 퇴직 지원, 베이비부머를 위한 새로운 일자리 발굴 등을 적극적으로 추진해야 할 것 이며, 이를 위해 정부의 효과적인 정책수립과 시행이 요구된다.

Objectives of this study are to determine what future policy initiatives and alternatives should be for retired babyboomers to constantly execute their productive activities. The respondents are babyboomers who have been working for companies in Seoul and are now facing their retirement age. The survey aims to examine their awareness and perceptions by factors - the living condition, the will to be re-employed, the ability to work, the desire for living and, education programs. The study then carried out influence factor analysis on the life satisfaction based on the survey results. The results of the study can be summarized as follows. A correlation analysis results show that such factors as the ability to work, the desire for living and education programs all have a positive(+) correlation with a dependent variable - here, the life satisfaction. There is also a negative(-) correlation shown between the living condition and the life satisfaction. As for the will to be re-employed, however, it shows no significant correlation with the dependent variable. Finally, this study carefully makes a suggestion for the future policies that : First, the social safety net, including employment safety net for baby boomer should be strengthened. Second, there should be projects connected to a job creation based on the well-trained skills of baby boomers. Third, there should be a support system utilizing 'Individual Training Accounts' for retired baby boomers. Fourth, there should be an activation policy to stimulate the life design education for working baby boomers. Fifth, the integrated system for baby boomers' social contribution should be established and improved.
