새마을운동의 국제화 추진실태와 정책과제

Internationalization Propulsion Condition and Policy problem of Saemaul Undong

본 연구에서는 국제개발협력사업과 관련하여 최근 활발하게 전개되고 있는 새마을운동의 국제화 후 진실태를 분석해 보고 정책적 과제를 도출하고자 한다. 자료 분석은 새마을운동의 세계화 사업이 본격화되기 시작한 1990년대 이후부터 새마을운동의 문화적 가치를 국제사회와 공유하고자 하였던 내용으로서 새마을운동중앙회를 비롯한 각 단체의 국제개발협력사업의 전개과정과 유형 및 내용, 주체별 현황, 지역별ㆍ국가별 현황을 대상으로 하였다. 분석결과에 따른면, 향후 새마을운동의 국제화를 적극화하기 위해서는 새마을운동 국제화 시스템 구축, 새마을운동 수출 전문 인력양성, 새마을운동 국제화 행사추진, 새마을운동 해외보급 및 홍보, 새마을운동 국제화 기금 확보 및 새마을운동 국제 브랜드화 등을 추진해야 한다.
