Globally, theological education is facing a crisis in its quality as well as its quantity. The aim of this paper is to delve into the necessity of a 6-year consistent theological curriculum implementation by Kosin University. The most serious problem in terms of theological curriculum between undergraduate and M.Div. programs is the duplication and repetition of subjects. By comparing curricula of domestic and international reformed theological universities, the present researchers suggest a progressive system of a 6-year consistent curriculum from undergraduate through M.Div. studies. During 4 years of undergraduate courses, students take basic subjects like biblical languages, classical languages, philosophy, reformed creeds, and an introduction to each genre of the Bible in order to set a base for advanced training in M.Div. coursework. Then, during 2 years of M.Div. courses, students take subjects focusing on exegesis, homiletics, church history, dogmatics, and practical and ecclesiological issues caused by churches and society. The 6-year consistent curriculum seems to play a key role for solving problems in the Korean church which are raised fundamentally by ineffective theological education.
