죽산 박형룡과 구례인의 천년기론에 대한 연구

A Study on the Millennialism of Dr. Hyung Nong Park and Missionary J. C. Crane

본고에서는 해방이후 총신에서 종말론 교육이 어떻게 이루어졌는지 박형룡박사와 구례인선교사에 초점을 맞추어 논구했고, 특히 그들이 어떠한 천년 왕국론을 가르쳤는지에 대해서 집중해 보았다. 첫 조직신학 교수였던 박형룡은 첫 24년 동안 총신에서 지로적인 역할을 수행했다(1948-1972). 박형룡은 역사적전천년설을 총신과 예장 합동의 공식적인 입장으로 가르쳤다. 그는 해방 이전에 활동했던 첫 선교사들 일부와 한국 부흥사들이 세대주의를 유포했다는 점을 인정했다. 그에 반해, 그와 제자 박윤선박사는 역사적전천년설을 한국 장로교회의 공식적인 입장으로 정립하고 널리 보급하는 일에 기여했다는 사실을 부인할 수가 없다. 게다가 우리는 박형룡이 다른 천년시론에 대해서 관용적인 입장을 공개적으로 표명했음도 잊어서는 안된다. 평양신학교와 총신에서 가르쳤던 구례인 선교사는 공개적으로 무천년기론을 가르쳤다. 이러한 불일치에도 불구하고 박형룡은 구례인의 입장에 대해 공격하지 않았다. 하지만, 양자는 세대주의를 비성경적인 관점으로 거부하는 일에 있어서는 일치했다.

In this paper, I examined on the eschatological education done in Chongshin Theological Semianry after Liberation from Japanese occupation by focusing on the perspectives of Dr. Hyung Nong Park and J. C. Crane and how they taught regarding to the Millennialism. As a first Professor of Systematic Theology, Dr. Park had played a directive role in Chongshin during first 24 years (1948-1972). Dr. Park had taught the Historical Premillennialism as an official position of Chongshin and Yejang after the Liberation. He acknowledged that some early Missionaries and Korean revivalist dispersed the Dispensationalism before the Liberation. So we cannot deny that he, with his disciple Dr. Yune Sun Park, contributed to establishing of the Historic Premillennialism as an official position of the Presbyterian Church in Korea (Hapdong) and to disseminate it widely. Furthermore, we cannot forget that Dr. Park expressed the tolerance on another Millennial viewpoints explicitly. J. C. Crane who was a professor in Pyongyang Seminary and Chongshin taught the Amillennialism outspokenly. Despite the disagreements, Dr. Park never made an offense against Crane’s position. They, however, were in line with to reject Dispensationalism as a unbiblical viewpoint.
