The aim of this study is to identify the effects of adult taekwondo trainees’ mentor experience on exercise commitment. 250 adult taekwondo trainees were sampled from gyms in Seoul, Chungcheong-do and Gangwon-do area. The number of valid samples was 238. The questionnaires were only distributed to the respondents who gave prior consent. After sufficiently explaning the questionnaires, the respondents themselves filled out the questionnaires and were immediately collected. Validity analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis, the goodness-of-fit test and path analysis were conducted by using Window SPSS ver. 18.0 and AMOS ver. 18.0. Career development function and social psychological function were extracted as the mentoring factors for adult taekwondo trainers. In addition, clear goals, goal-oriented responsibility, sense of self-control, sense of time, and spiritual state of perfect selflessness were extracted as the factors of exercise commitment for adult taekwondo trainees. Results from the empirical analysis are as follows: First, the career development function of mentoring have positive effect on every exercise commitment factors. Second, the social psychological function of mentoring have positive effect on four exercise commitment functions with the exception of clear goals.
