A study on ways to Actively Develop small-scale block housing to regenerate Analytic Hierarchy Process - Mainly on the case of urban regeneration test-bed, Jeonju -

Since ‘the special law on urban regeneration and support plan’ was enacted in 2014, the government has been laying the foundation for to a full-scale push for urban regeneration and 13 regions have been chosen as model areas for the project. Along with this project, plenty of discussions are being made on how to revitalize declined residential areas. As a viable way to regenerate old residential neighborhood, this study suggests encouraging the development of small block housing. Specific plans to implement this would include the followings: first, to ease the parking act for active development of small block housing; second, to use part of the budget for urban regeneration to develop small block housing; third, to loan housing and urban fund to small block housing developers in long-term low interest rate. By establishing these policies, it will be possible to actively develop small block housing and to regenerate declined residential areas.
