The purpose of this study was intended to help it, in terms of emotion expression through children s family pictures, that we understand children s emotion, that children and their parents confirm and rediscover themselves through the pictures, so they have harmonious relationships. The subjects were selected randomly as 70 children at the age of 6-7 in D Kindergarten in K City, and we received their pictures in person and interviewed them. Therefore, family expression types in children s pictures in terms of intentional researchers are as the following. First, harmonious type is an emotion expressed in the general pictures of children, and pictures show it that child is looking at his/her own family member with bright facial expression or toward front. Second, in self-encircled type pictures reflect it that each family member perceived by child is encircled separately, and that their communications and interactions are severed among them. Third, scatterbrained type pictures represent it that children have scatterbrained emotion both at home and in social life, that most of children don t have intensive attention, and especially that the children whose parents are divorced are unstabled emotionally. Fourth, from divorced type pictures, we can recognize it that child expresses emotion about one s own favorite special person focusing on the person rather than good feelings about the parents. Fifth, individual type pictures show child s everyday life. Child has communications with the parents, but each shape in the picture is drawn separately, so we can recognize child s emotion from that. Therefore, from this study, we could understand it that home, early society of child, is an important background and belongings in childhood. Although child cannot express his/her own feelings and sense into verbal expression, he/she is conveying it as a nonverbal message through drawing family picture.
