Because a child expresses the images in their mind through their art as they remember it they are able to express themselves in their art. In addition, the majority impressions portrayed in their art are results of their inner world and environment. Through the colors selected subconsciously by children in their art, we are able to understand their state of mind. For children, artistic expression is a representation of their deep psychology and their mind; therefore, the content and significance that are revealed through their selection of color must be accurately analyzed and understood. This study began with the hypothesis that understanding maturation and the measure of children’s emotions will be revealed more clearly through colors, and that the colors subconsciously selected by children will most accurately express their psychological state, and as a result, it was found that their color selection has a direct effect on human disposition and reflects their physiological conditions and psychological emotions. If a teacher or parent is able to understand the child’s psychological state, dilemmas, personality and intelligence through the child’s use of colors and is able to provide proper guidance to the child, art education will contribute to the positive emotional development of the child.
