From ancient times, we have understood that our country has 5,000 years of pure history as a single race nation and we have naturally accepted the pride in the nation s ethnic homogeneity from our childhood. However, what is the current situation like? Our country rapidly becomes multiracial nation over single race. The temporal paradigm changes rapidly along with the global era and the birth of multiculturalism makes us feel that we should keep our tradition and if not it can be forgotten by our next generation in the future. In the art education in this regard, the program consideration using traditional art and educational approach to the children of pseudo-naturalistic stage are expected to take very important roles. The art education takes important role of growing creativity and cultivating emotion on the students of growing period. The art education of elementary school aims to provide humanism education basically necessary for human living and to cultivate emotional education. In order to bring up human beings equipped with right value and morality as Koreans, current art education strengthens traditional art education containing our racial sentiment. In the field, however, the curriculum is not quite activated and even the contents and methods are not enough. The curriculum puts emphasis on the traditional art education, but the traditional art tends to be categorized into target of appreciation in actual field of education, and the expression area consists of very restricted contents. Therefore, this study developed and researched a program for various expression activities aiming activation of traditional art education which can recognize the identity of Korean beauty and express the feature of Korean beauty on actual field of education. Those contents have been studied as actual program that can be guided on the field of education based on literature study, and we tried to use as many traditional techniques as possible. As for activation plan, firstly, the teaching system shall be set up by individual and by ability; secondly, various expression activity programs shall be developed and applied to the classes of traditional art education heavily centered on the appreciation by the teacher. Thirdly, directions of material and tools are necessary as well as correct terminology. Fourthly, specialized teachers should be trained by considering the educational situation in which traditional art education cannot be made due to insufficient interest of the teacher. Fifthly, it is to expand on-site learning regarding traditional art. To inherit and develop excellent cultural asset of traditional art and to recreate unique and creative our culture, the traditional art education shall be activated since childhood.
