교육대학원 제도 개선방안 모색에 관한 연구

A Study on the alternatives of reform system on graduate school education

교육대학원의 상황에서 교육대학원의 프로그램이 교원에 대한 현직연수과정과 신규교사의 양성과정으로 구별되어 있지 않아 전문성이 확보되어 있지 못하다던가, 교육대학원 졸업자의 교원 임용률이 극히 미미하여 교원양성기관으로서의 역할이 의문스럽다든가 교육대학원 교육과정 운영의 실제가 부실하지는 않은지 등 각 대학원에선 시행되고 있는 그 제도가 문제점이 없는지 살펴보고 점검해 보고 문제점을 개선하도록 함으로서 더욱 발전해야 할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 교육대학원의 설립배경과 목적, 이념과 기능, 양적 성장과현황, 교과과정 운영 기본 방안에 대해서 살펴본 후 교육대학원의 문제점과 발전방향과 과제를 살펴보는 교육대학원에 대한 일반적 이해를 한 후 교육대학원에 대한 일반적인 이해와 일반사회전공에 대한 분석을 하였다. 연구결과 개선점으로는 첫째, 일반사회교육 전공의 교과과정이 실 수요자인 학생중심으로 재편성되어야 한다. 둘째, 현실적으로 교원자격증 취득을 희망하여 대학원에 진학한 학생들이 교육대학원의 수요자로서 한 부분을 구성하고 있으므로 현직교사와 비현직 교사 모두를 위해서 교과과정의 전부가 불가능하면 일부라도 분리하여 다양한 수요자의 특성이 반영된 수업이 이루어져야 한다. 셋째, 학위취득요건이 대학원생들의 요구가 반영되어 융통성 있게 운영되어야 한다. 넷째, 교육대학원의 경우에 개선되어야 할 사항으로 학생들의 의견도 그렇고 필자의 생각에도 꼭 필요한 것이 도서관 이용과 관련하여 대출권수 확대와 대출기간의 연장과 열람실의 확충이다. 다섯째, 전임교수의 확보가 이루어져야 한다. 여섯째, 앞으로 전임교수의 확보를 충분히 하기위해서도 교과교육 전문가를 양성하기 위해서도 박사학위 과정을 설치하는 것도 검토할 필요가 있다고 본다. 마지막으로 교육대학원생 스스로 보다 나은 교육환경을 만들어 가야 한다

After reviewing establishment background, ideology and function, qualitative development and current situation, and basic operation on curriculum for graduate school education, this paper analyzes general comprehension on graduate school education and general social study specialty after looking at the problems, extension, and tasks on the program. Graduate school education, which is a kind of special graduate school, has a simultaneous function as a academical research and reeducation for current teachers. Also, it has an educational goal for raising future teachers, who will be in major role on education field. This paper studies recent curriculum in graduate school education of private universities. Based on the result, this research provides several suggestions to improve the quality of graduate school education and reform the education system. First, the curriculum in the program of general social study specialtyshould be reorganized by focusing students, who are real demanders in the program. Second, as the members in the program have changed to various social status such as education executive officer, teaching licence candidates, lecturer in private educational institution, and house wife, the program should be followed the demands of each members group. Third, the requirement of graduation in the program also be flexibly revised to fit the students demand. Fourth, a thesis guidance class is needed to improve the quality of the students ability in research. Fifth, a number of lending books and a term must extend in a library service. Sixth, the program should ensure enough number of faculties. Seventh, this research recommend a doctorate program, which extends the current program to secure the number of faculties. In last, the students in graduate school education have to develop an advanced education circumstance by themselves as a main participator
