경영자의 혁신DNA와 다차원적 성과 구성

Configuration between CEO’s Innovative DNA and Multi-Dimensional Performances

혁신의 출발점인 경영자 능력관점에서 혁신과 성과의 관계를 재조명함으로써 유용성을 높일 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 중소기업 경영자의 혁신DNA 구성과 성과의 다차원성을 실증연구를 통해 규명하였다. 발견DNA는 기술성과와 재무성과에, 실행DNA는 시장성과에 긍정적인 작용을 하는 것으로 분석 결과 나타났다. 발견DNA와 실행DNA의 내적 균형은 기술성 과, 시장성과, 재무성과 등 기업성과 전반에 걸쳐 유효한 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 중소기업이 성과를 제고하기 위해서, 경영자는 발견DNA를 본원적으로 하여 실행DNA를 보완적하는 내적 균형 중심으로 혁신능력 개발할 필요성을 시사한다. 또한 기업가정신이론을 비롯하여 경영자 능력이론들의 능력 개발과 관련된 실무 유용성의 한계를 혁신DNA라 는 은유를 통해 구체적인 내용과 방향성을 제공하였다는 점에서 이론적 함의를 지닌다.

Based on the CEO’s competencies Perspective that is the origin of innovation, it needs to enhance on the usefulness through reconsideration to relationship between innovation and performance. The study analyzed relation between the configuration of CEO’s innovative DNA and multi-dimensional performances by empirical survey. The results find that discovery DNA has positive effects on the technological and financial performance, operating DNA on the market performance. The internal pacing between discovery DNA and operating DNA has holistic effects on the all of three type’s performance. We have implications from the study that CEO exerts to promote for equilibrium based on discovery DNA and complementary to operation DNA for successful general firm’s performances. In terms of theoretical perspectives, it provides to specific competencies contents and developmental direction in the ex post CEO’s learning and efforts and has implication for overcoming the limits of past theories related to CEO’s competency such as entrepreneurship theory and manager role theory.
