긍정심리학 관점으로 바라본 뉴스포츠 수업의 경험과 문화적 의미

Experience of New Sports Class and Cultural Meaning from a Positive Psychology Viewpoint

본 연구는 교육대학에서 예비교사의 실기 수업에 대해 긍정심리학 관점으로 바라본 협동학습의 구조를 활용한 뉴스포츠 수업의 경험과 문화적 의미를 탐색하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 자료는 2015년 8월말부터 12월까지 매주 1회, 금요일 1～2교시 뉴스 포츠 강좌 시간을 활용하여 14차시의 뉴스포츠 수업에 참여한 학생 7명을 연구참여자로 선정하여 인터뷰, 교수자의 수업반성일지 그리고 학생의 수업반성일지를 토대로 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 Spradley(1979)가 제안한 영역 분석과 분류 분석을 토 대로 분석하였다. 예비교사들은 뉴스포츠 수업에 참여하면서 새로운 활동 경험의 장만들기, 새로운 용․기구의 활용 그리고 새로운 상호작용의 장(張)을 경험하는 등 긍정심리학적 측면에서 학습 경험을 가치 있게 생각하였다. 뉴스포츠가 지니는 문화적 의미로는 스포츠의 정신문화, 스포츠의 축제문화, 스포츠의 경기문화, 스포츠의 예술문화 등에 대한 안목을 형성하였다. 논의에서는 연구의 결과에 대해 교수자 측면과 학습자 측면에서 교육적 가능성과 한계와 관련하여 분석하고 해석하였다. 이 연구는 뉴스포츠 수업의 긍정적 가치와 뉴스포츠의 문화적 특성에 대한 이해를 토대로 학교체육수업의 영역을 확장하는 데 시사점을 제공할 것이다.

This study aimed at investigating the experience of new sports class and cultural meaning from a positive psychology viewpoint about pre-service teachers practical training lesson in the college of education. Data were collected on the basis of interview, instructor s reflective journal, student s reflective journal and the like after selecting 7 students participating in new sports class of 14 lessons as study participants by utilizing new sports classes in the first and second hour on Friday once a week from the end of August to December. The collected data were analyzed on the basis of domain analysis and taxonomic analysis suggested by Spradley(1979). In this study, students experienced a complicated interaction in the aspect of field of experience, field of space and empowerment in learning in the aspect of instructional objective, content, method and evaluation. In terms of cultural meaning that new sports had, they developed a discerning perspective on spiritual culture of sports, festival culture of sports, competition culture of sports and artistic culture of sports and so on. In the discussion, the results of study were analyzed and interpreted in relation to educational possibilities and limitations from instructor s and learner s point of view. This study will provide implications in expanding the area of school physical education class, based on the understanding of positive value of new sports class and cultural characteristics of new sports.
