음악교사 선발에서의 수업실연 평가에 대한 내용 및 기준 제안:

A Proposal on the content and criteria for a teaching demonstration in the selection evaluation of music teachers: focused on edTPA an evaluation on student teachers in the United States

본 연구는 현재 우리나라 음악교사를 선발하는 임용고시 평가항목 중 하나인 ‘수업실연 평가’에 대한 내용 및 기준을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 미국의 예비교사 평가체제인 edTPA와 선행연구를 분석하여 평가영역과 평가요소를 도출한 후, 중등임용과 관련된 33명의 음악교육자를 대상으로 현행 중등 임용고시의 수업실연에 대한 인식을 조사하고 평가요소에 대한 중요도를 검증하였다. 분석결과는 첫째, ‘수업실연 평가’를 위한 내용으로 9문항의 평가영역과 20문항의 평가요소가 중요하게 나타났다. 둘째, ‘수업실연 평가’를 통해 평가해야 하는 예비교사의 수업능력은 ‘구체적이고 명료한 학습목표 진술’, ‘학습목표 성취 위한 논리적이고 체계적인활동’, ‘음악요소 및 개념을 적절한 예시와 함께 학생 수준에 맞춰 설명할 수 있는 능 력’. ‘음악시범능력’ 과 ‘학습목표와 연결된 적절한 평가’ 요소가 가장 중요하다고 나타났다. 셋째, 특정 전공에 영향을 받지 않는 수행중심 평가방안의 필요성, 실음 중심의 실연이 바탕이 된 평가, 수업에 대한 교사의 반성이 포함된 평가 및 장기적으로 미국의 edTPA의 평가처럼 현장에서 직면한 문제를 다룰 수 있으며 학생과의 실제적인 수업상황에 대한 고려가 반영된 평가방법을 고려해야 한다. 넷째, 음악교육 전문가간의 논의를 통해 ‘수업실연평가’를 위한 전국적으로 통일된 양식과 타당하고 합리적인 평가기준이 마련되어야 한다. 이를 위해 현장에서의 음악수업과 예비교사 교육과정에서 하고 있는 수업실연과 연계하여 ‘수업실연 평가’의 효과적인 방안에 대한 다각적인 연구가 필요하다

The present study proposes the evaluation of the content and criteria for a teaching demonstration, one of the National Teacher Certification Examination for music teachers by focusing edTPA(Teaching Performance Assessment). The 33 music educators perception of teaching demonstrations in the current secondary teacher certification examination were examined and the importance of the evaluation criteria per area were also investigated. The results of the analysis as follows. First, 9 evaluation areas and 20 evaluation criteria were show to be important as the content for a teaching demonstration evaluation. Second, ‘detailed and concise lesson objectives’, ‘rational and systematic activities ti meet the lesson objectives’, ‘the ability to demonstrate music’ and ‘appropriate evaluation related to lesson objectives’ were shown to be the most important in evaluating the teaching demonstration of the student teachers. Third, there is a need for a performance-centered evaluation that is not affected by certain university majors and an evaluation method that can address on-site issues in the long-term, such as the edTPA in the US. Fourth, through a discussion among professionals in music educations, a uniform format and rational, appropriate criteria for evaluating teaching demonstrations should be put in place throughout the country. To this end, multifaceted studies need to be conducted on effective methods of evaluating teaching demonstrations in conjunction with content for teaching demonstrations that are taught at teachers college.
