한국 사회-경제위기의 일반성과 특수성, 그리고 진보 개혁을 통한 해결방안:

The General and Peculiar Characteristics of Korean Socio-economic Crisis, and the Policies for Progressive Reform: Focusing on the Immanent Demographic Cliff

착잡한 한국 경제사회문제를 총체적으로 이해하기 위한 하나의 인식틀, 담론체계를 제시하고 향후 약 100년의 인구추계와 이를 이용한 한국의 인구절벽을 분석한다. 한국의 인구절벽은 과거 서구가 산업화를 시작한 후 50-60년이 지나 20세기 초반 직면했던 장애를 제국주의를 통해 돌파하려다가 직면한 절대절벽과 본질상 동일한 것이다. 우리는 97년 외환위기 이후 신자유 주의를 통해 해결을 모색하는 과정에서 결국은 인구절벽이라는 절대절벽에 직면한 것임을 해명한다. 점진적 개혁이 아니라 체제개혁이 필요한 이유, 그리고 이를 위한 주요 정책을 제시한다.

This paper suggests a framework that enables a holistic understanding of variegated Korean socio-economic pathologies and analyses the immanent Korean demographic cliff. We try to elucidate Korean socio-economic anomalies in its general as well as peculiar dimension. Especially the immanent Korean demographic cliff is shown to be an ‘absolute barrier’. We propose policies that lead to a systemic change.
