정서학대와 청소년 자살생각의 시간적 변화추이에 대한 연구

Time Trajection of Emotional Abuse and Suicidal Ideation of Adolescents

본 연구의 주요 목적은 청소년이 경험하는 정서학대와 자살생각의 시간적 변화를 규명하고, 정서학대가 청소년 자살생각에 영향을 미치는지를 확인하려는 것이다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 한국청소년패널조사(Korea Youth Panel Survey, KYPS) 중2패널 자료(2차~6차 년도)를 활용하였으며 학대 문항과 자살 문항에 모두 응답한 총 2,444명을 분석대상으로 하였다. 주요 통계방법으로 잠재성장모형을 활용하였다. 분석 결과 청소년의 자살생각은 지속적으로 감소하는 추이를 보였으며, 부모로부터 경험하는 정서학대는 오르내리면서 감소하는추이를 보였다. 부모의 정서학대는 청소년의 초기 자살생각 수준에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 부모의 정서학대 변화율과 청소년의 자살생각 변화율도 유의미하게 나타났다. 이는 시간이 경과하면서 부모의 정서학대가 변화함에 따라 청소년 자살생각의 변화에 영향을 미치는 것이라고 해석된다. 분석결과는 청소년의 자살생각을 예방할수 있는 적절한 개입의 중요성과 또한 정서학대 방지를 위한 부모교육과 인식개선이 필요함을 시사해 주는 것이다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 추후 연구를 제안하였다.

This study aims to examine time trajection of suicidal ideation of adolescents, and further to investigate whether emotional abuse have effects on time trajection of adolescents‘ suicidal ideation. This study utilized the 2nd Year Middle School Panel data from the Korea Youth Panel Survey which was constructed by the Korea Youth Policy Institute. A total of 2,444 adolescents were selected as study sample who responded to questions about emotional abuse by parents and suicidal ideation. Using latent growth modelling as main statistical strategies, statistical analyses found that suicidal ideation of adolescents has continuously decreased along with decrease of emotional abuse by parents. Initial degree of emotional abuse by parents significantly predicted initial degree of suicidal ideation of adolescents. As well, the changing rate of emotional abuse by parents significantly affected the changing rate of adolescents’ suicidal ideation. This indicates that emotional abuse by parents has effects on suicidal ideation of adolescents from short and long term perspectives. Therefore we emphasized parental education against emotional abuse and prevention program of adolescents’ suicidal ideation.
