Bootstrapping Techniques in Structural Equation Modelling

In this paper, I reviewed several bootstrap procedures and applications of the bootstrap test in structural equation modeling. Some behavioral scientist have blind faith regarding the bootstrap principle: The relation between a population P and its samples can be modeled by the relation between the resampling space R and its bootstrap samples. The bootstrap may yield results that will be useful for structural equation modeling. However, the bootstrap principle cannot be blindly trusted because there are cases in which it will not work.
